Cloud Infrastructure and Network Engineer

Role overview:

As the Cloud Infrastructure & Network Engineer at Complytek, you will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and evolving our infrastructure and network systems to meet the demands of a fast-growing RegTech company. You will oversee both on-premise and cloud-based environments (including AKS), ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability.
You will also be the senior point of contact for DevOps matters, to ensure best practices and process consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, manage, and optimize Linux-based servers for performance and availability.

• Manage and maintain our Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and Dockerized microservices.

• Lead and mentor the junior DevOps engineer, providing support and sharing best practices.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Helm.

• Ensure secure and efficient network operations across routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls (e.g., Sophos).

• Administer virtualization environments (e.g., Proxmox) and monitor hardware resources.

• Design and implement reliable backup and disaster recovery strategies.

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and TeamCity.

• Oversee infrastructure monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).

• Troubleshoot complex network and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation including diagrams, logs, and SOPs.

• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA to ensure infrastructure readiness for deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure or network engineering roles.

• Advanced Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL).

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred), Docker, and cloud-native applications.

• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and firewall management (Sophos or equivalent).

• Familiarity with Azure environments, Proxmox, and container orchestration.

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible a plus).

• Experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins.

• Exposure to observability tools (Grafana, ELK, Prometheus).

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Fluent in Greek and English.

• Comfortable mentoring junior team members and acting as the DevOps escalation point.
